Coaching builds awareness, empowers choice and leads to change. It unlocks your potential to maximise your performance.

As a client you are accountable for your own processes, your choices and actions, and learn how to see solutions to your problems.

The coach will help you, guide you, and facilitate the process of achieving your goals and dreams. They will collaborate with you and provide the support you need. They will ask you to probe deeper and discover what habits or beliefs are holding you back from achieving the goals for yourself.

Coaching will help you:

  • Develop your capacity to think about things in new and creative ways

  • Create strategies, reflect and clarify goals.

  • Increase personal capacity and potential

  • Communicate more efficiently and trust your own ability.

  • Challenge yourself, be challenged and facilitate decision making

A coach facilitates learning, using their skills to help an individual to improve their own performance.

The International Coach Federation, most widely recognized and most reputable regulatory organisation for coaches, defines coaching as follows:

“Partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.”

In order words, coaching is about helping someone else to learn – without telling them what to do or what to think.

As a result, coaching helps people reach their full potential by helping them to unlock their thinking and remove barriers.

Coaching is the process of helping people develop their skills and capacity to create new possibilities for themselves through open and powerful questions, active listening, summerising and reflecting.

The coach/client relationship is one built on mutual trust, and for you to feel truly understood, supported, excited and comfortable you have to feel secure with the right coach. That is why I always offer a free consultation prior to working together to establish a relationship and building rapport, clarifying expectations and coming to a mutual understanding of how the relationship will proceed.
